Jerry Cole

Chief Cole retired recently from Columbia River Fire and Rescue after a 27 year career as a Firefighter/Paramedic. Chief Cole worked through the ranks beginning as a volunteer and progressing from Lieutenant, Captain, Battalion Chief and to Division Chief of EMS. Chief Cole holds an Associate of Applied Science degree in Fire Protection Technology and multiple fire certifications. Jerry has also served as the Mayor of Rainier, Oregon since 2003 - overseeing city administration and contributing to various municipal projects. Jerry is happily married to wife Kristi and they have two daughters. Chief Cole is a lifelong resident of Rainier and deeply committed to the safety and well-being of the communities he serves. With a background of public service and transparency to the public – Jerry encourages people to contact him if they have questions, concerns or simply want to know more about their Fire Department. Chief Cole brings a wealth of knowledge, leadership and innovation to our organization and we are excited to have him lead our team towards achieving our strategic goals.
